Security Officers at Beech Mountain Resort help keep the resort safe and secure. They respond to emergencies, call for help when needed, and ensure the resort and team are functioning safely. Security Officers play a vital role in resolving issues as they arise and maintaining the safety of our guests and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property and monitoring surveillance equipment
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to permit entry
• Obtain help in emergencies by sounding alarms and contacting appropriate authorities
• Prevent losses by reporting irregularities and informing violators of resort policies
• Control traffic by directing drivers and managing parking areas
• Complete reports by recording observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities
• Maintain equipment functionality by performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs as needed
• Ensure the resort complies with safety regulations and legal requirements

Requirements or Qualifications:

• Strong communication and observational skills
• Ability to remain calm and handle emergency situations effectively
• Basic computer skills for report writing and surveillance monitoring
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and during peak times
• Reliable transportation required with the ability to navigate snowy or winter conditions
