About the Position

Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 Year License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Must have a vehicle for this assignment. - Must be willing to work every other weekend. - Must float between units based on department needs. Description: This position requires an individual to work in the Emergency Department. The nurse will float to different units based on the needs of the organization. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4. The nurse will provide care for a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics. Providers should be skilled in managing various medical emergencies and patient conditions. Special requirements include certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Experience with the Epic charting system is required. Candidates will be expected to manage a range of medical scenarios from abdominal pain to trauma cases. The position may involve working with patients experiencing mental health crises. Flexibility with patient assignments will be essential based on workload intensity. Travelers in this role may have opportunities for permanent positions. The facility is not designated as a trauma center but receives walk-in trauma patients. Providers may be expected to float to affiliated facilities as necessary. All individuals must adhere to safety protocols, especially in managing patients under investigation for communicable diseases. Communication devices may be provided for job-related use as needed. Providers should not contact facility staff directly unless scheduled for an interview.
