Director of Operations — Balkan Treat Box Restaurant Group Reports to CEO About Us Balkan Treat Box started as a food truck and has grown into one of St. Louis's most celebrated restaurant groups — now spanning Balkan Treat Box, Telva at the Ridge, The Ridge Room, and a stand at the St. Louis CITY soccer park. We're growing fast and expanding into a variety of new projects beyond our current concepts. We're looking for a Director of Operations ready to take the reins and help us run it well. The Role As Director of Operations, you'll be the operational backbone connecting ownership to the floor — with real authority over front-of-house across multiple concepts. This isn't a floor-manager role — you're running the operation that makes great service possible, not primarily working the floor yourself. What You'll Own Multi-concept FOH leadership across Balkan Treat Box, Telva, and upcoming concepts Hiring, training, and performance management for front-of-house teams Scheduling across both concepts Service standards and guest experience at every location Licensing — tracking renewals and staying ahead of deadlines Cash deposits and reconciliation Business correspondence and day-to-day admin Being the first call for anything front-of-house during service Coaching and developing managers, stepping in on the floor when needed What We're Looking For 5+ years of restaurant management experience, ideally multi-location or high-volume/fast-growing Experience managing other managers, not just a shift team A 'hospitality-first' mindset — you believe how people feel is the whole point, and you build systems and teams around that belief, not around it.
