We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a long-term contract opportunity in north Idaho. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing core accounting activities, maintaining accurate records, and keeping financial information organized and up to date. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily bookkeeping tasks to ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and current.

• Process vendor invoices, verify payment details, and coordinate timely disbursements through accounts payable activities.

• Monitor incoming payments, post customer transactions, and follow up on outstanding balances within accounts receivable.

• Reconcile bank statements and internal financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Maintain organized accounting documentation and support consistent recordkeeping practices across financial transactions.

• Assist with routine financial reporting by preparing summaries and supporting documentation as needed.

• Proven experience performing bookkeeping duties in a detail-oriented business environment.

• Working knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice review and payment tracking.

• Working knowledge of accounts receivable functions, including payment posting and balance follow-up.

• Experience completing bank reconciliations with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to manage confidential financial information with discretion.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple accounting tasks efficiently.
