About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a locum assignment in the Hartford, Connecticut area. This opportunity offers a 6–12 month assignment with the possibility of extension, providing both inpatient consult coverage and outpatient clinic services.

Schedule:

• 3–4 clinic days per week (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

• Infrequent weekend and night call (approximately 1:10 nights; 2–3 weekends per year)

Practice Details:

• Adult and geriatric patient population

• 80% Hematology / 20% Oncology

• Inpatient consults and outpatient clinic setting

• Approximately 10 patients per day (hospital) and 15 patients per day (clinic)

• Collaborative team of 10 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers

• EMR: Epic

• Level I Trauma environment

• Reason for coverage: Leave of absence

• Estimated credentialing timeframe: Approximately 130 days from accepted offer

Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology – Required

• Active Connecticut medical license in hand at time of submission – No exceptions

• Self-Query NPDB report (dated within the same month as submission) – Required

• Local candidates strongly preferred (no flights)

• Ability to provide weekend and night call coverage as scheduled

• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
