Learn more about why clean hydrogen is critical for achieving zero-emissions.As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you own the planning and execution of the electrolyzer stack, balance of plant, and any necessary tooling. You will work closely with design engineers to ensure the systems can be produced effectively, efficiently, and at accelerating rates. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment, where your contributions will have a direct impact on the future of decarbonization.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate cross-functional efforts across design, supply chain, and production to execute the build process: covering planning, sourcing strategies, sequencing, MBoM development, tooling, equipment and work order creationAuthor work instructions and processes that allow interdisciplinary teams to build effectively while ensuring quality standards are metManage production team priorities, offer technical direction, drive execution, and support professional development of team membersSupport manufacturing and assembly shop layoutsDesign production tooling, jigs, and platforms to improve build consistency and rateOther duties as assignedBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, aerospace, etc.)5+ years of experience building complex mechanical systemsStrong understanding of fundamental principles in mechanical and fluid systemsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs unassistedAble to work on-site in Hawthorne, CAPreferred Skills & ExperienceProven ability to interface with multidisciplinary functions of mechanical, electrical, and fluid systemsExperience and demonstrated proficiency in developing and implementing comprehensive work instructions and test proceduresProficiency in CAD and PLM systems (Siemens NX and Teamcenter preferred)A history of working directly with hardware and subsystems including, instrumentation, power systems, hazardous fluids, and structures in a controlled environmentExperience working on build, test of complex assemblies at the system and subsystem levelExperience with scaling manufacturing processes from development through rate productionProfessional QualitiesWhen given a set of guiding objectives and principles, you can identify, prioritize, and execute on tasks with minimal supervisionA willingness to jump in and work side-by-side with techniciansYou have strong organizational, documentation follow-through skills and take pride in the quality of your workYou are passionate about decarbonization and addressing climate change
