About the Position

Gynecologic Oncology APP (PA/NP, 1st Assist) | Kaiser Permanente – San Diego, CA

GHR Healthcare  is seeking an experienced  Gynecologic Oncology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner  who is 1st Assist certified  to support a busy  Clinic + OR  service. This is a  full-time (1.0 FTE) ,  Monday–Friday  opportunity with  no call  and a 6-month assignment  (with option to extend).

Position Details

• Specialty: Gynecology/Oncology – PA or NP (1st Assist certified required )
• Location:   San Diego, CA
• Assignment Length:   ASAP (pending credentialing)through 6 months , option to extend  as needed
• Setting:   Clinic & OR

Schedule

• Clinic: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• OR Days: Start time falls within 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (you will work an 8-hour shift within those hours)
• Weekly Hours:  40 hours/week
• Call:   No call

Responsibilities

• Support the clinic with  pre-op and post-op appointments
• OR 1st assist with  Gynecologic Oncology
• Surgical modalities include:
  • Open surgery
  • Laparoscopy
• Volume Expectations (estimated):
  • OR: 3–4 cases/day
  • Clinic volume: ongoing clinic patients (varies by day)

Requirements

• Board Certified
• BLS & ACLS (American Heart Association accepted)
• 1st Assist certification required
