General Maintenance Technician

General Maintenance Technician

CSS is seeking an experienced General Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance and repair operations at an industrial manufacturing facility in Grandview, MO. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working both independently and with a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general facility maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, drywall, painting, flooring, and overhead doors
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and grounds and recommend repairs or improvements
• Complete preventive maintenance and respond to emergency repair requests
• Safely operate hand and power tools
• Document work, time, and materials using a CMMS system
• Maintain organized inventory of parts, tools, and supplies
• Follow all safety procedures, SOPs, and OSHA standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in industrial or commercial maintenance experience
• Experience in carpentry, plumbing, painting, and masonry
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Familiarity with MS Office and electronic work order systems
• Valid driver's license; ability to operate forklifts, man lifts, and boom lifts
• Willingness to be on-call and work evenings or weekends as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• Frequent bending, climbing, and working at heights up to 35 feet
• Comfortable working in an industrial environment
