SMT Operator - Contract, Hiring Now
The SMT Operator position is available in Westford, MA. This role offers a long-term contract opportunity with the potential for permanent placement, and the company is known for its commitment to lean manufacturing practices. Shift of the SMT Operator:Mon-Thur - 6:00am-4:30pm (4 day work week) Pay Rate/Salary of the SMT Operator:
$22-$26 per hour based on recent SMT experience Responsibilities of the SMT Operator:
- Set-up and operate surface mount equipment.
- Perform basic maintenance and assist maintenance technicians as needed.
- Identify and report defective components.
- Track work progress and communicate line status hourly.
- Inspect assembled PCBs to ensure compliance with solderability standards.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of recent SMT experience.
- Knowledge of workmanship standards and component identification.
- Experience with pick and place equipment; Universal Fuzion is a plus.
- Basic computer skills and good organizational abilities.
