Job Description
This position will support a project providing business case and business process analysis for a large government agency and will be responsible for developing and creating organization-wide data policies, standards, and processes, and for oversight and strategy execution of the data governance and data quality framework.
\n \nWork Location: Hybrid in Arlington, VA.

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution of higher learning. \n
- 5+ years of experience with data architecture, data management, data analysis, IT process reengineering, systems analysis, design, and implementation, and data modeling \n
- Hands-on experience with data migration/integration of multiple data sources into a single repository, data analysis, and SQL programming language (e.g., ANSI SQL). \n
- Familiarity with reporting/ad-hoc analysis tools such as Tableau, Power BI. \n
- Knowledge of Master Data Management principles, data integration and data migration, and Microsoft Power Apps. \n
- Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint). \n
- Excellent communication, consultation, conflict resolution, negotiation, and facilitation skills. \n
- Able to: \n
- Contribute to creating, refining, and documenting team business processes (e.g., .SOPs, design documents, process diagrams, etc.) in a highly flexible environment. \n
- Be flexible and able to thrive in a time-sensitive environment to meet strict deadlines with sudden and unpredictable needs. \n
- Independently synthesize unstructured feedback from stakeholders and consider relevant data to present quality business solutions. \n
- Proven problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to think out of the box and generate creative solutions; ability to break a complex problem down into its component parts and arrive at the appropriate solution in a timely fashion. \n
- Positive attitude, averse to the status quo, always looking to improve current processes and procedures; ability to see opportunities for change, capitalize on them, and implement them when appropriate for the benefit of the organization. \n
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic who sets high standards for self and others and demonstrates enthusiasm for the mission of the team. \n
- Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship. \n
- Prefer to have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher to establish reciprocity for Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI) Public Trust T3 case type. Investigation closure date MUST be less than five years old. Must be able to obtain Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI) regardless. \n
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

- Create reports/dashboards leveraging Power BI. \n
- Perform data cleansing and standardization (e.g., removing duplicates, sanitization), assessing data quality, and eliminating irrelevant data to identify and interpret data patterns and trends. \n
- Plan and execute data migration strategies from legacy systems to modern databases. \n
- Assess data repositories for compliance with data governance policies and standards. \n
- Create database queries using ANSI SQL or other programming languages. \n
- Analyze data from various systems and formats and audit databases regularly to maintain data quality. \n
- Ensure data integrity and data standards within databases. \n
- Provide enterprise data solutions and enhance reporting capabilities. \n
- Maintain current databases and database objects. \n
- Coordinate with other team members to reach project milestones and deadlines. \n
- Identify areas for improvement in the current process. \n
- Collaborate and work with business users and IT partners to remediate identified gaps, using both manual and automated solutions. \n
- Recommend processes and create reports to continuously monitor data quality. \n
