JPSO Full-Time Police Academy

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office Personnel Division is now accepting applications for our Academy Class 67 (P.O.S.T. Level 1 Full-Time Academy) scheduled to begin Monday, December 7, 2026 . This academy is a full-time, daytime training program . Applications will be accepted from current JPSO employees and external candidates . Application Process Applications must be hand-delivered to the Personnel Division . Email submissions will not be accepted. Application Deadline: Friday, October 9, 2026 – 4:00 PM Selection Process Qualified applicants will participate in a competitive testing process , which includes: Physical fitness evaluation Psychological evaluation Graduate from an accredited senior high school or GED equivalent. Possess a valid driver’s license. Must be a US citizen and be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to work rotating shift assignments and maintain proper attendance.
