• Contract Duration: 3 months (option available)
• Pay Rate: $55.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night shift, 18:45–07:15, 3×12 hours; every other weekend coverage

Job Summary

This position is a travel/contract Med-Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse role on an inpatient unit focused on stroke, TIA, and higher-acuity med-surg patients. The unit is highly focused on patient experience and serves adult and geriatric patient populations. Staff may perform peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation. Float to other units may be required based on need and skill set.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the inpatient Med-Surg/Telemetry unit for adult and geriatric patients
• Care for patients with diagnoses including: Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney Failure, Post Heart Cath, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, CHF, and Sepsis
• Perform peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation as required
• Maintain a strong focus on patient experience
• Float to other units based on need and skill set as required
• Adhere to staffing ratios: Nights 1:6
• Utilize the Omnicell medication system
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system

Required Skills

• Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience
• Proficiency with Omnicell medication system
• No first-time travelers — prior travel nursing experience required

Education Requirements

• Active Tennessee (TN) RN license required
• ACLS — Required
• BLS — Required
• NIHSS — Required

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Night shift position: 18:45–07:15, 3×12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float to other units may be required based on need and skill set
• Staffing ratio — Nights: 1:6
• Patient age group: Adults and Geriatrics
• Flu vaccination required; no exemptions
