We are currently recruiting for a Certified Medical Assistant at US Coast Guard, Ketchikan, AK. Key Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and clinical procedures. Obtain and document vital signs and patient histories. Prepare patients for appointments, exams, and treatments. Perform basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection, EKGs, and wound care as authorized. Administer medications and injections as permitted by scope of practice. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation. Manage exam room preparation, equipment, and infection control procedures. Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider. Support administrative functions such as scheduling, record management, and coordination of care. Qualifications Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or equivalent military medical training. Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CCMA). Minimum of one (1) year recent experience as a Medical Assistant. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers. Eligible to obtain and maintain Coast Guard clinical privileges. Successfully pass all WJM & USCG background checks. Resume Requirements Certification / License. Complete professional work history.
