Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center. Assesses, plans and provides patient care in collaboration with the attending physician. Provides comprehensive health assessment, medical diagnosis of acute and chronic illnesses, writes prescriptions, and formulates a treatment plan. Diagnoses medical conditions. Plans and implements interventions. Assists in the medical/surgical care and evaluates responses in collaboration of the attending and consulting physicians.Job Requirements:Education and Work Experience:Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP): RequiredTwo years' relevant clinical experience: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: RequiredNurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in state of practice: RequiredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredFacility Specific License/Certifications:AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS or AHA-CPR or ARC-CPR: RequiredDepartment Specific License/Certifications:AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: RequiredAHA-PALS or ARC-PALS: RequiredTNCC INSTRUCTOR (TNCCI): RequiredEssential Functions:Interviews patients, employees, and/or family members. Constructs comprehensive medical histories. Performs initial and periodic physical examinations. Evaluates patient behavior and explores patient's interpretation of health needs. Works under the scope of practice of a nurse practitioner and as an agent of the physician.Provides treatment of patients as needed, including administering medications and/or vaccines and performing procedures.
