$26.00/hr plus and shift differential ($2.25/ hr)

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing production equipment and facility systems.

This hands-on role requires a strong foundation in both electrical and mechanical maintenance and offers the opportunity to work with PLC systems, production machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, working independently and as part of a team, and helping drive equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

Mechanical Maintenance

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and determine necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair, replace, and reassemble defective equipment components.
• Perform corrective and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Fabricate and repair equipment components as needed.
• Test and verify operational performance following repairs.

Preventive Maintenance

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Lubricate, inspect, and maintain machinery according to preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure all equipment remains in safe and efficient operating condition.
• Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately.

Electrical Maintenance

• Perform testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
• Support maintenance of:
  • PLC systems
  • CNC and NC controls
  • Control circuits
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Electro-mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot and replace electrical components, including AC and DC motor controls.
• Assist with maintenance and repairs to plant power distribution systems.
• Research and identify electrical components and replacement parts.

Equipment Installation & Upgrades

• Assist with machine installations, modifications, and upgrades.
• Install conduit, wiring, controls, and piping systems as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Verify equipment is installed safely and functioning properly before production use.

Facility Maintenance

• Support maintenance of company facilities and grounds, including:
  • Basic plumbing
  • HVAC support
  • Basic carpentry
  • Painting
  • Snow removal
  • General building repairs
• Assist with event setup and other facility support activities as needed.

Safety & Continuous Improvement

• Follow and promote all company safety policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hazardous waste handling, hearing protection, and eye protection requirements.
• Participate in safety, production, and departmental meetings.
• Assist with training team members on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
• Support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance documentation.
• Cross-train in other functions to support operational flexibility.

Qualifications

Required

• Associate degree in Electro-Mechanics or a related field, completion of an Electromechanical Maintenance Apprenticeship, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Electrical systems
  • Mechanical systems
  • Hydraulics
  • Pneumatics
  • Industrial machinery
• Ability to read and interpret:
  • Electrical schematics
  • Line diagrams
  • Blueprints
  • Technical drawings
• Experience working with:
  • 120V, 240V, and 480V electrical systems
  • Conduit installation
  • Relays and control wiring
  • Electrical terminations
• Experience troubleshooting AC and DC motor drives and electrical controls.
• Ability to safely operate electrical testing equipment, including:
  • Multi-meters
  • Amp-meters
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Other diagnostic tools
• Basic computer skills, including:
  • Email
  • Work order systems
  • Preventive maintenance software
  • Data entry and recordkeeping
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to operate company vehicles, including box trucks or flatbeds.

Preferred

• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
• Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Machine installation and commissioning experience.
• Manufacturing maintenance experience in a high-speed production environment.
• Basic fabrication and welding skills.

Work Environment

This position works primarily in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to:

• Moving machinery and industrial equipment
• High-pressure air, steam, and gas systems
• Hazardous chemicals and fumes
• Loud noise levels
• Dust, dirt, and varying temperatures
• Confined spaces and elevated work areas

Employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed or composite-toe footwear.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to lift and move materials, tools, and equipment regularly throughout the workday.
• Ability to exert up to 130 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds continuously.
• Manual dexterity to safely use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and maintenance devices.
• Ability to move throughout the facility and access machinery safely.
• Strong visual and hearing abilities necessary for troubleshooting, inspections, and responding to changing operating conditions.
• Ability to work in physically demanding manufacturing environments while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
