Job Summary Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements | Researches best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data | Collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity and reduced cost | Determines how new information technologies can support reengineering business processes | May specialize in one or more of the following areas: benchmarking, business process analysis and reengineering, change management and measurement, and/or process-driven systems requirements Impact of the Role General ProfileRequires working knowledge and experience in own job discipline and broadens capabilitiesContinues to build knowledge of the company, processes and customersPerforms a range of assignments related to job discipline Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situationsReceives a moderate level of guidance and directionConsistent exercise of discretion & judgment Essential Functions Studies organizational processes and operations and develops quality and efficiency improvements. Evaluates internal processes and identifies opportunities for improvements. Gathers data for key performance indicators for functions being reviewed, evaluates current state, and proposes future state goals and objectives. Measures results of implemented improvement strategies and modifies continuous improvement programs in response. Assists in the development and delivery of continuous improvement related training programs. Required Qualifications Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or ExperienceCritical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Business, Engineering, Operations or related field preferredKnowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to work as part of a team. Problem management. Judgement. Detail oriented. Attentiveness. Project management skills. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
