Custodial Worker On-Site 2725 Island Home Blvd Knoxville, Tennessee 37920 8 Months Responsibilities Serves as a lead custodian with leadership tasks assigned by supervisor. Operates and/or utilizes a variety of custodial related tools and equipment, including floor washing machines, buffers, and vacuums. Performs general physical activities, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors by hand or by machine. Cleans restrooms by sanitizing showers and toilets, cleaning sinks, washing floors and walls, cleaning mirrors, and emptying trash. Cleans offices, classrooms, or other facilities by dusting furniture, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, washing walls and windows, emptying trash, and straightening work areas. Polices grounds to pick up trash and check for any other needed maintenance. May keep simple records and makes routine reports of facility deficiencies and materials needed to accomplish work. Performs light maintenance of equipment utilized. Trains new custodial workers. Required Qualifications Must be 18 years or older. Must have at least one (1) year of custodial work experience. Valid Driver’s License. Selected applicant(s) will be required to submit to and pass a TBI/FBI background check and fingerprinting, to include Tennessee and Federal criminal history checks, child abuse records, employment verification, and professional/personal reference checks.
