As a med/surg float pool RN, you'll be a key player in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, delivering care across a variety of units, including orthopedics, medical/telemetry, observation, surgical, and oncology. Schedule: This position is scheduled for 56 hours per two-week pay period, 8-hour night shifts (11pm 7:30am), with every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). As an added bonus, float pool RNs receive an additional $2.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
• Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
• Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
• Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
• Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
• Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)

Required Qualifications

• MN registered nurse (RN) license
• Basic life support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in nursing
• 1 year experience

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting.
