Lead Engineer
Virtual Vocations Inc
To support a growing fintech startup, the contracted-to-full-time Lead Engineer will build and scale the platform, collaborating closely with the VP of Engineering to define technical vision and best practices while mentoring other engineers in a remote environment. Key responsibilities: Partner with the VP of Engineering to set the technical direction, team processes, and development roadmap Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of core platform features across the stack Mentor and support engineers through code reviews and guidance while scaling and maintaining infrastructure using modern DevOps practices Required qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with 1-2+ years in a leadership role Deep backend experience with Golang in production environments Solid experience building mobile apps with React Native Strong understanding of AWS services (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, IAM, etc.) Experience integrating BaaS or third-party fintech APIs
