Registered Nurse - Pre-Op and Post-Op

Schedule

This position offers a day shift schedule of 8 hours, from 5:45 AM to 2:15 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this position provides direct and indirect patient care, maintaining communication with physicians, nurse managers, and co-workers regarding changes in patients' clinical conditions. The RN will also respond promptly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment and is expected to perform general nursing duties effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for unit patient populations.
• Complete thorough patient assessments.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills to interact with all customers efficiently.
• Work independently while delegating tasks appropriately.
• Effectively manage unexpected crises in a calm and confident manner.
• Adjust schedule to meet unit needs, float to and work in other areas as assigned, and accept low census as necessary.
• Work required weekends and holidays as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Pre-Op and Post-Op experience is required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• Must hold a valid nursing license in Ohio.
