About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN Neuro Med Surg Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Current state license Certifications: BLS from American Heart Association Must-Have: BSN Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: The unit has 24 beds and 31 staff members. The staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 Techs during the day shift, and 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 Techs during the night shift. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 6:1. The unit uses Sara Steady for equipment and Meditech for electronic medical records. There is a rotation for on-call requirements, but no floating requirement. Candidates with significant experience in the specialty, particularly in stroke care, will be preferred. Experience in EEGs and EKGs is typical for the unit. Ideal candidates will embody a team nursing approach and demonstrate a strong work ethic. The unit has ongoing stroke education available. Additional considerations for selecting this unit include new equipment and technology, as well as the tenure and experience of the staff.
