CLASS A - TRUCK DRIVERS - LOCAL HOME DAILY - Terrell, TX

Class A CDL Truck Driver - Experienced Drivers Only (Live Within 40 Miles of Terrell, TX)

Driver Expectations and Requirements

• Perform all duties safely and responsibly.
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or customer rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Physically capable of performing all job duties, which include moving frequently, standing, walking, and sitting. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg.
• Ability to report all problems with equipment, as well as accidents, traffic violations, and damage before, during, and after the route.
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
• Ability to perform routes, pickups & deliveries based on customer requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Current Class A CDL
• Minimum 12 months experience in the last 3 years
• Clean driving record
• Acceptable references
• Must meet all DOT qualifications

Position Details

• Home Time : 5 days off and 2 consecutive days off - Consecutive days are during the week (Tues-Wed / Wed-Thurs)
• Local Home Daily : Running within a 250 mile radius of Terrell, TX Weekly Mileage : Average miles ran per week-1700-2000
• Shift : Dispatch window is from 2PM-12AM
  • 10 hour dispatch window
  • Dispatch time is dependent on freight on a daily basis
  • Dispatch time given to the driver each day
• Backhauls 70% Drop and Hook & 30% Live Load/Unload
• NO TOUCH FREIGHT
• Hauling 53 ft trailers, mostly reefer and occasional dry vans
• Drivers driving day cabs and sometimes sleepers, mostly Volvo and Freightliner
