Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department setting
• Perform triage, phlebotomy, IV placement and maintenance, and blood product administration
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and administer IV vasopressors as indicated
• Manage procedural sedation and care for patients with CVA, head injury, and ventilator dependence
• Maintain BiPAP/CPAP equipment and adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Document patient care using EPIC and communicate using SBAR methodology

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered New York RN license required prior to submission
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
• Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
