Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for utilities and facilities based systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties

Executes activities including conceptual design, design development, and detailed design.
Leverages guidance documents, standards, and codes to justify design solutions.
Identifies selection of equipment, develops bid comparison, and presents recommendations.
Prepares project reports and provides management with regular and consistent updates.
Proactively notifies management of project challenges and budget changes.
Coordinates the installation and commissioning of utilities and facilities.
Partners with Automation Controls Engineering to integrate the control and/or monitoring of utilities and building systems.
Leverages the building automation system to assist in the troubleshooting and repairing of the utilities systems.
Reviews technical reports and documents for accuracy/content and approves final documents.

Ideal candidate will possess:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required
3+ years of hands-on engineering experience with utilities and facilities
Auto CAD experience required. Construction knowledge and experience desired.
