SUMMARY

We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Order Selector to support a fast-paced refrigerated distribution operation. This role is responsible for accurately selecting, building, and preparing customer orders for shipment while operating electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment. The ideal candidate enjoys an active work environment, prioritizes safety, and can consistently meet productivity and quality standards in a temperature-controlled warehouse setting.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Select and assemble customer orders using voice-directed technology, RF scanners, order sheets, or warehouse management systems.
• Operate electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move products throughout the warehouse.
• Pick refrigerated food products from multi-level storage racks and build pallets according to order specifications.
• Transport completed orders to designated staging and shipping areas.
• Verify product quantities and inspect orders for accuracy and product quality.
• Wrap, label, and prepare completed pallets for outbound shipment.
• Rotate inventory based on product dates and maintain proper stock rotation practices.
• Remove empty pallets, packaging materials, and debris from work areas.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and complete required safety checklists.
• Assist with trailer loading activities as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Replace or recharge equipment batteries and complete related documentation.
• Complete required paperwork and operational records accurately.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Previous warehouse, order selecting, or material handling experience preferred.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of electric pallet jack (EPJ) experience preferred.
• Ability to safely lift and move products weighing approximately 35–65 pounds on a regular basis.
• Comfortable working in a refrigerated warehouse environment and using required PPE.
• Ability to follow instructions, meet productivity goals, and work independently.
• Willingness to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and workplace safety.
