This 13-week travel assignment offers the opportunity to provide respiratory care across multiple specialty units in a 225-bed regional medical center, including NICU, Heart & Vascular, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine, Women's Health, and Pediatrics. Marquette is the largest community in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, known for a vibrant university atmosphere, stunning natural beauty, and year-round outdoor recreation.


Job Details

• Location: Marquette, MI 49855 (Michigan Upper Peninsula)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 5/11/2026 - End: 8/10/2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,830 - $1,970
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital (must be willing to float to NICU)
• Employment Type: Travel / Travel Respiratory Therapist / Travel RT

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an RRT in a hospital or acute care setting (critical care or med-surg experience preferred)
• Willingness and ability to float to the NICU and other specialty units as needed (NICU respiratory therapist experience a plus)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and provide reliable coverage
• Current BLS certification required; additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, NRP) may be required based on unit assignment
• Clinical skills in mechanical ventilation, ventilator management, arterial blood gas interpretation, aerosol therapy, and airway management preferred
• Must be available to start by 5/11/2026
• Travelers must reside at least 60 miles from Marquette, MI

Responsibilities / Core Duties

• Provide high-quality respiratory care across a variety of hospital units including critical care and NICU as a travel respiratory therapist
• Perform patient respiratory assessments, initiate and administer respiratory treatments, and monitor patient progress
• Manage mechanical ventilation and ventilator weaning protocols under physician and clinical guidance
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and ensure equipment safety
• Accurately document all respiratory care, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record per hospital policy
• Float to different units as needed to support patient care demands and maintain continuity of care
