Registered Nurse - PICU

$2692.80/week - Job Summary: Seeking an experienced PICU Registered Nurse to provide critical care for pediatric patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. The nurse will be responsible for delivering specialized care, managing complex clinical tasks, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities: Administer advanced pediatric critical care treatments and monitor patient conditions closely. Manage IV therapy, including starting, maintaining, and accessing ports, as well as central line care. Assess and care for ventilated patients, including managing BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and airway devices. Document patient care accurately in EPIC and monitor telemetry, pacemakers, and other cardiac devices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and respond to emergencies. Follow infection control protocols, including isolation precautions and PPE usage. Qualifications: Hold an active NJ or Compact RN license at the time of application. Possess a minimum of 2 years of PICU critical care experience with at least 1 year of pediatric cardiac experience. Obtain and maintain BLS and PALS certifications. Demonstrate proficiency in pediatric IV therapy, airway management, and telemetry monitoring. Be capable of floating within relevant skillsets, including stepdown and general pediatrics units.
