Registered Nurse - PICU

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced PICU Registered Nurse to provide critical care for pediatric patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. The nurse will be responsible for delivering specialized care, managing complex clinical tasks, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced pediatric critical care treatments and monitor patient conditions closely.
  
  
• Manage IV therapy, including starting, maintaining, and accessing ports, as well as central line care.
  
  
• Assess and care for ventilated patients, including managing BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and airway devices.
  
  
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and monitor telemetry, pacemakers, and other cardiac devices.
  
  
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and respond to emergencies.
  
  
• Follow infection control protocols, including isolation precautions and PPE usage.
  Qualifications:
  
  
• Hold an active NJ or Compact RN license at the time of application.
  
  
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of PICU critical care experience with at least 1 year of pediatric cardiac experience.
  
  
• Obtain and maintain BLS and PALS certifications.
  
  
• Demonstrate proficiency in pediatric IV therapy, airway management, and telemetry monitoring.
  
  
• Be capable of floating within relevant skillsets, including stepdown and general pediatrics units.
  
  
• Experience with EPIC charting is required.
