Senior Medical Science Liaison, Lupus - MD, Washington DC, Northern VA

Senior Medical Science Liaison role within US Medical Affairs engaging with key medical experts and healthcare professionals on lupus therapies. Responsible for building strategic relationships, delivering medical education, and supporting clinical decision-making across Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain deep strategic relationships with key medical experts and healthcare professionals
• Deliver credible medical and scientific narratives on disease state and Biogen products to inform clinical decisions
• Develop and execute KME engagement plans that provide high-value medical insights aligned with company strategy
• Capture and report medical insights using Veeva with consistency and accuracy to inform strategy
• Serve as responsive, solutions-driven partner to medical community leaders on clinical and scientific challenges

Requirements

• Advanced degree required (NP, PA); Doctoral degree strongly preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP)
• 3+ years Medical Science Liaison experience in Rheumatology or Dermatology
• Clinical expertise in systemic and/or cutaneous lupus preferred
• Excellent communication skills with ability to engage diverse audiences credibly
• Proficiency with technology platforms and willingness to adopt new systems
• Ability to travel 60% including overnight and occasional weekend travel
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; authorization to operate company vehicle

Compensation: $165,000-$220,500 base
