# Cardiopulmonary/Pulmonary Function Technician - Pulmonary & Critical Care MedicineApplyremote type: On Campus/Onsitelocations: Washington University Medical Campustime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: JR92432# **Location**SAINT LOUIS, MO 63110# **Scheduled Hours**40# **Position Summary**Performs pulmonary function studies.# **Job Description****Primary Duties & Responsibilities:*** Prepares and calibrates PFT equipment.* Collects test samples, performs initial test analysis and advises staff on findings.* Performs tests according the American Thoracic Society Guidelines.* Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.* Assists in process billing, data entry/maintenance and lab equipment care/maintenance.**Working Conditions:**Job Location/Working Conditions* Normal office environment* Requires extensive safety training* Exposure to blood-borne pathogens* Exposure to chemicals* Requires protective devices* Patient care setting* Direct patient care setting.Physical Effort* Typically sitting at desk or table.* Repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement (PC Typing).* Occasional lifting (25 lbs. or less).Equipment* Office equipment.* Clinical/diagnostic equipment.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
