A medical center 30 minutes outside Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with an opening for a Gastroenterologist to join their team.
Reside in an affordable, family-friendly area with top-ranking schools, outstanding sports facilities, and delicious local restaurants. Opening Highlights:- Schedule: Monday-Friday, will consider a 4-day workweek
- Offsite call
- Mainly outpatient, the NP does all the IP rounding and prep for cases
- Average Monthly Census: 160 colonoscopy, 70 EGDs, & 195 outpatients
- Will take general GIs, but ERCP is preferred
- 4 endo suites
- Full support staff, office admin, and CRNAs in-house 24/7
- EMR: Epic
- Board certification required
- Will sponsor J1 or H1B
- Competitive salary based on experience + RVUs

- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Active unencumbered Louisiana physician state license
- Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
- One year of work experience as a Gastroenterologist
- One year of Epic experience
- Board Certified
- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
