JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Department: Cath Labs Anc

Shift Timings : Morning 07:00 - 17:30 Hours Monday to Friday (4 Days/10 Hours)

Per Week : 40 Hours

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures.
• Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
• Prepare, implement and document plan of care.
• Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
• Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
• Perform set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Assists physicians during special radiologic procedures requiring experience and advanced training in the Cath lab. Serves as a resource person for other personnel regarding hemodynamic monitoring and radiation safety.
• These procedures vary in advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures requiring experience and advanced training in the cardiac cath lab.
• Such procedures include, but are not limited to, coronary angiograms, PTCAs, peripheral and coronary artery stent placements, pediatric and adult heart catheterizations, peripheral PTAs, ICD implants, PPM implants, electrophysiology studies, EP mapping, EP ablation, valvuloplastie, structural heart procedures, and laser procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current Cardiac Cath Lab Tech experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program
• Active unencumbered Iowa Cardiac Cath Lab Tech state license
• One year of Cerner experience

Requirements
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
