Accountant

This accountant position based in Germany offers the opportunity to support growing organizations by providing accurate and reliable accounting services in a flexible remote environment. Accountabilities As an Accountant, you will provide essential accounting support for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and effective management of financial processes. You will work independently while collaborating with internal teams to deliver dependable accounting solutions. Reconcile client bank statements and maintain accurate bookkeeping records. Manage income and expenditure accounts to ensure proper financial tracking. Prepare financial reports based on accounting data and business activities. Handle tax filings, remittances, and other financial compliance requirements. Support the implementation, management, and optimization of accounting software systems. Work with QuickBooks Online to manage client accounting activities and reporting processes. Provide accurate financial information and maintain organized documentation. Support both non-profit and for-profit organizations with their accounting needs. Requirements The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting professional with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. 3+ years of professional accounting experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field. Experience with non-profit accounting is preferred. CPA certification or equivalent professional designation is a plus. Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks Online. Strong understanding of bookkeeping, financial reporting, and accounting processes. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when managing financial information. Strong time management and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and a client‑focused mindset.
