Construction SuperintendentPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations and deliver projects safely, on time, and on budget. The Superintendent will oversee multi-disciplinary crews and subcontractors across residential, commercial, and industrial projects with emphasis on multi-family and wood-frame construction ensuring quality, compliance with municipal regulations, and strong client communication throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect daily site operations, supervise trades and subcontractors, and ensure work is executed to project plans and specifications.Manage project schedules, coordinate sequencing of work, and mitigate delays to meet critical milestones and completion dates.Enforce safety program and site-specific safety plans, conduct daily safety briefings, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and engineered details to resolve field issues and ensure quality control.Coordinate permitting, inspections, and municipal approvals, and maintain relationships with local authorities and inspectors.Prepare, review, and submit daily reports, progress updates, RFIs, and field documentation to project management and clients.Oversee materials coordination and logistics, including delivery scheduling, storage, and protection of materials on-site.Monitor subcontractor performance, manage punch lists, and ensure timely closeout and turnover of project components.Implement quality assurance procedures, conduct regular site inspections, and address nonconforming work promptly.Provide mentorship to foremen and field teams, promote collaboration across trades, and foster a productive site culture.Qualifications7+ years of construction field experience with demonstrated time as a Superintendent.Proven experience on commercial, municipal, industrial, and automotive-related construction projects is highly desirable.Hands-on experience with pre-cast and tilt-wall construction methods and familiarity with associated erection sequences and tolerances.Strong knowledge of building codes, municipal permitting processes, and construction site safety standards (OSHA 30 preferred).Proficient reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and engineered details.Track record of successful schedule management using scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera, Procore, or equivalent).Excellent leadership, communication, and subcontractor management skills with an ability to resolve field conflicts and make timely decisions.Working knowledge of cost control basics, change order processes, and site documentation for project closeout.Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; ability to travel between job sites as required.Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required; relevant trade experience will be considered.
