Looking for a fresh challenge where you can really make a difference? We're looking for a Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school community serving students in a 2nd/3rd grade extensive support needs Special Day Class near Lancaster. This is a full-time contract role running now through June 9th, 2027, and we've got one position open for the right educator.
What you'll need:
• Valid and active Special Education Teaching Credential with a Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN) certification
• A genuine passion for individualized, differentiated instruction
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfort collaborating closely with families, general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to build and carry out IEPs
What you'll be doing:
• Designing and delivering instruction tailored to each student's IEP
• Collaborating with teachers, specialists, therapists, and support staff
• Tracking student progress and keeping documentation accurate and compliant
• Facilitating IEP meetings in partnership with parents and school staff
• Adapting curriculum and materials to meet the diverse social and academic needs of different learners
