Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Radiology

As a Locum Radiologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering expert diagnostic imaging services and collaborating with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes. Your expertise will directly impact the quality of care we provide, making a significant difference in the lives of our community members. 

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans
• Interpret imaging results and communicate findings to referring physicians
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient care plans
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in radiology
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
• Participate in clinical meetings and case discussions
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff
• Contribute to quality assurance programs and audits

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Current medical license in the state of practice
• Experience in a Radiology setting
• Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Knowledge of radiology information systems and software

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-4p

Setting: Onsite

Daily Volume: 120–150 studies and 1–2 procedures

Case Types: General Diagnostic Radiology

Required Procedures: Paracentesis, thoracentesis, stereotactic breast biopsies, and other image-guided biopsies

Modalities: CT, MRI, US, X-ray, DEXA, mammography, fluoroscopy, and nuclear medicine

EMR: Epic

PACS: Synapse

Voice Recognition: PowerScribe One

Must be board-certified
