Overview
Occupational Therapist – Acute Care, traveling assignment in High Point, North Carolina. Start date 09/07/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,851–$1,956 with guaranteed 35 hours per week. Shift is 5x8 days (08:00–16:30). Assignment in a long-term care (nursing home) setting.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and ongoing re-assessments for residents with acute care needs within a long-term care setting.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans aimed at improving or maintaining self-care abilities and functional independence.
- Deliver evidence-based OT interventions (therapeutic activities, adaptive technique training, and home management strategies) aligned with patient goals.
- Document assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge plans in the electronic health record; ensure accuracy and timely submission for reimbursement and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, therapy colleagues, physicians, social services) to coordinate care and participate in care planning rounds.
- Support discharge planning and transitions of care, including caregiver and family education and resources for continued progress.

Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina or eligibility for NC licensure
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Ability to work in a long-term care/post-acute setting and participate in a travel assignment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; comfortable collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
- Experience in acute care or SNF/long-term care settings preferred
