We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead the clinical and operational success of a community-focused pharmacy. • Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Lunch Break: 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM
• No Nights
• No Weekends

Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Services

• Provide medication counseling and education to patients.
• Serve as a trusted clinical resource for healthcare providers.
• Perform medication therapy reviews and drug utilization assessments.
• Support chronic disease management and preventive health initiatives.
• Administer immunizations as permitted by state regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care collaboration and population health programs.

Pharmacy Operations

• Oversee daily pharmacy workflow and dispensing operations.
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, storage, and medication security.
• Maintain patient records and medication histories.
• Ensure quality assurance and patient safety standards are consistently met.
• Monitor compliance with HIPAA, Fraud, Waste & Abuse policies, and all pharmacy regulations.

Leadership & Team Management

• Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise pharmacy staff.
• Manage technician schedules and daily staffing needs.
• Conduct performance coaching and support professional development.
• Foster a patient-first culture focused on service excellence and accountability.
• Lead by example and maintain high clinical and ethical standards.

Business & Growth Initiatives

• Build strong working relationships with providers and clinical partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve pharmacy services and patient outcomes.
• Support pharmacy growth initiatives and operational improvements.
• Serve as the primary pharmacy liaison for healthcare stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of pharmacist experience.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmacy management or leadership experience.
• Retail or community pharmacy management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience utilizing pharmacy management systems and electronic records.

Preferred Qualifications

• Community or retail pharmacy leadership experience.
• Immunization certification.
• Experience collaborating with healthcare providers and clinical teams.
• Familiarity with 340B pharmacy programs.
• Experience with pharmacy operations growth and service development.
