Our client in the Tucker area seeks a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain small gas engines and electric motor systems. Ideal candidates possess specialized small engine repair experience (e.g., power washers, flat surface cleaners, floor care machines) alongside a strong electrical background to troubleshoot ignition circuits, switches, and wiring components.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair small gasoline engines. Dismantle engines, replace broken parts (e.g., carburetors, pistons), and rebuild as necessary.
  
• Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawn mowers, generators, and other outdoor power equipment
  
• Test and repair electrical components including ignition systems, starter motors, relays, and wiring harnesses. Utilize multimeters and electrical testing equipment.
  
• Perform routine servicing such as oil changes, filter replacements, and spark plug gapping.
  
• Record details of inspections, test results, repairs made, and parts used.
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience repairing small engines (e.g. industrial pressure washers).
  
• Electrical Skills: Proven background in electrical diagnosis and repair with the ability to read schematics and use diagnostic instruments.
  
• Mechanical Aptitude: Working knowledge of hand and power tools common to the power equipment repair industry.
  
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and bend, stoop, and kneel comfortably.
  
• License: Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
