Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Blountstown, Florida. Job Details Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy Experience as a Physical Therapist (new graduates are welcome) Additional certifications or licenses may apply Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. They create personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home‑based settings. Perform other duties within scope of practice as assigned. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical abilities: ability to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal skills: ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel and maintain a positive attitude. Technical/motor skills: ability to grasp, manipulate finely, and assist with procedures or equipment use. Mental requirements: ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and maintain concentration on details. Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
