Travel Radiologic TechnologistFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist for a 13 week travel assignment in La Junta, CO. They ensure patient safety, maintain equipment functionality, and collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver accurate and effective diagnostic results.Essential Work Functions:Educate patients about imaging procedures and answer questions if they arisePrepare and operate advanced radiologic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images according to physician ordersMaintains equipment and sterilizes the room in which procedure takes placeEvaluates images for quality, present images and preliminary findings to physicians and health care teamMaintain and inspect imaging equipment for proper functionality, troubleshooting issues and reporting malfunctions as neededDocument all imaging procedures and technical details accurately in patient recordsFollows hospital safety rules and procedures including infection control and radiation safety protocolsPerforms other duties as assigned within the scope of Radiologic Technologist practiceRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is requiredAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bendingInterpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
