Locum Tenens Opportunity: Nurse Practitioner - Neurocritical Care Near Joanna, SC We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neurocritical Care for a locum tenens position near Joanna, SC. The role is set to begin on October 30, 2024, and will continue on an ongoing basis. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced provider looking for a night shift schedule with no weekend or weekday call. Position Overview: Specialty : Neurocritical Care Location : Near Joanna, SC Start Date : October 30, 2024 End Date : Ongoing Position Type : Locum Tenens Number of Positions : 1 Coverage Type : Scheduled + No Call Shift Details : Night shifts (6 p.m. to 6 a.m.), flexible schedule EMR System : Epic Practice Setting : Hospital - Inpatient/Acute Care Key Responsibilities: Coverage Requirements : Provide night shift coverage from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., 5 consecutive days per week. Expected to work between 10 to 14 nights per month. No weekday or weekend call. Patient Care : Manage an average of 7 patients per day. Handle 8 hospital patients daily, including 3 admissions and 8 ICU patients. Procedures and Skills : Required: Central lines and arterial lines. Preferred: Experience with infectious disease, hematologic disorders, surgical care, and suturing. Support : Work alongside 3 physicians onsite at all times. Anesthesia and GYN services available as needed. Access to support from specialized consultants for complex cases. Requirements: Licensure : Active South Carolina license required; no exceptions. Certifications : ACLS and BLS required. Experience : Minimum of 2 years in an ICU setting with current experience in neurocritical care. Charting : Experience with Epic preferred. Credentialing : Estimated timeframe of 60-90 days to start. Additional Information: Housing : Not specified; candidates should arrange their own accommodations. Intermittent Dates : Availability required for 5 days consecutively, with a flexible schedule to be determined between client and provider on a monthly basis.
