CT Technologist

About the Role We're hiring a detail-oriented Cardiovascular CT Technologist to support cardiac clinical trials. In this role, you'll acquire high-quality cardiac imaging on research subjects in accordance with study protocols, producing the imaging data that supports trial endpoints. You'll work directly under a supervising physician / investigator and collaborate closely with the study team. What You'll Do Perform cardiac CT imaging (and body CT imaging as needed) per study protocol, established clinical protocols, and protocol-specific acquisition guidelines to produce high-quality, submission-ready images Acquire imaging in accordance with the study imaging charter and core lab / central reader requirements Set appropriate scanning parameters — milliamperage, exposure time, slice thickness, cradle increment, orientation, scan field of view, etc. Deliver CT images to physicians and study staff via PACS and other interpretation software; enter subject data in Athena EMR and applicable study systems Maintain accurate source documentation to support monitoring, audits, and data queries Review subject medical records and interview subjects to obtain relevant history Explain procedures, position subjects for comfort and accuracy, and use immobilization apparatus when required Obtain IV access for contrast media administration per protocol, department policy, and physician order Perform daily QC testing, preventative maintenance, and ensure all equipment is in working order; report failures immediately Practice infection control and adhere to radiology safety guidelines and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Educate subjects on the exam and communicate special instructions or scheduling details in advance Complete required documentation (logbooks, worksheets, screening forms) and maintain subject and employee confidentiality What You'll Need Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Computed Tomography Completed formalized CT coursework (as part of or in addition to formal education) ARRT(CT) — registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Computed Tomography 1–3 years performing cardiac CT, including CT angiography of the heart and coronary arteries Cardiac stress testing experience Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Ability to maintain continuing education credits as required by the certifying body Ability to correctly identify cardiac imaging protocols in discussion with cardiologists Competency in advanced protocols such as TAVR, Cardiac CTA, Gated Chest, Runoffs, Brain Perfusions, and Lung/Heart Screenings #J-18808-Ljbffr
