Software Engineer III

We are seeking a Software Engineer III to support a high-priority, enterprise-wide security remediation initiative. This engineer will work across a diverse application portfolio to identify and resolve vulnerabilities uncovered by automated repository-scanning tools.

The work spans modern and legacy Microsoft applications and may include application hardening, CI/CD remediation, API configuration, database security, network segmentation, data obfuscation, and cloud migration. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on strengthening production systems and reducing security risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Remediate vulnerabilities identified through automated source-code and repository scans.
• Develop, enhance, and secure applications built with C#,.NET Core, legacy.NET Framework, and ASP.NET.
• Work with SQL Server databases, including security-related changes and data-obfuscation requirements.
• Diagnose and correct API misconfigurations and other application-security weaknesses.
• Build, improve, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
• Support application and infrastructure migration efforts.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, cloud, and security teams to harden systems.
• Use AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, to accelerate analysis, coding, testing, and remediation.
• Document completed fixes and help establish repeatable remediation practices.

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional experience with C# and the Microsoft.NET ecosystem.
• Experience with both modern.NET/.NET Core and legacy.NET Framework applications.
• Hands-on ASP.NET development experience.
• Strong SQL Server skills.
• Experience diagnosing, modifying, testing, and supporting existing enterprise applications.
• Understanding of secure software-development practices.
• Ability to work independently across multiple codebases and prioritize a substantial remediation backlog.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing applications with Blazor.
• AWS cloud experience.
• DevOps experience, particularly building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Harness and Artifactory.
• Application-security or vulnerability-remediation experience.
• Familiarity with API security, database hardening, network segmentation, or data obfuscation.
• Proficiency using GitHub Copilot or comparable AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience modernizing or migrating legacy enterprise applications.

This position is initially funded for six months. Because security scans continue to identify new remediation needs across the application portfolio, the initiative may extend beyond the initial engagement. Strong performers may also be considered for longer-term opportunities or conversion, subject to business needs and approval.
