Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 3x12-hour shifts | Evening shifts: 11:00–23:30 or 15:00–03:30 | Includes weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to both adult and pediatric patient populations in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, including telemetry, as part of patient assessment and care
• Float to other units as needed based on departmental staffing requirements
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only – required
• TNCC certification required
• Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three (3) years
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start (adult and pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher with strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification; up to three attempts permitted under compliance guidelines)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with high-acuity emergency cases across both adult and pediatric populations
• Familiarity with telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to floating assignments across units
