This position combines forklift operation, material handling, order preparation, and customer service in a busy environment.If you have experience operating a sit-down forklift and enjoy physical, active work, we'd like to hear from you.What You'll DoYou'll help keep materials and customer orders moving safely and accurately throughout the facility. Responsibilities include:Operate a sit-down/counterbalance forklift to move, stage, load, and unload materialsPick and prepare materials to complete customer ordersLoad and unload trucks and customer vehiclesVerify products and quantities for accuracyMeasure and handle building materials of various sizes and lengthsUse hand tools and other equipment as requiredAssist customers in a friendly and professional mannerKeep work areas organized, clean, and safeWork both independently and with other team members to complete daily prioritiesFollow established safety procedures when handling materials and operating equipmentWhat We're Looking ForSuccessful candidates will be dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable performing physical work throughout the day.Preferred qualifications include:Previous sit-down or counterbalance forklift experienceMaterial handling, warehouse or similar experienceAbility to accurately measure and identify materialsComfortable using basic hand toolsStrong attention to detailGood communication and customer-service skillsAbility to follow safety procedures and work instructionsDependable attendance and a strong work ethicAbility to work effectively independently and as part of a teamPhysical RequirementsThis is an active position that requires the ability to:Stand and walk for extended periodsBend, reach, carry, push, pull, and handle materials throughout the workdayLoad, unload, and move building materialsSafely operate a forklift and other required equipmentPerform work in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditionsWhy Apply?This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and variety rather than doing the same task all day.
