In our industry as a Shift Manager, you must be able to quickly adjust staff to fit the flow of customers. Interaction with staff is key, so you need to feel comfortable coaching, training, onboarding, evaluating, retaining, and terminating employees as necessary. You may be responsible for opening or closing the restaurant and managing inventory. Good communication skills are always a positive factor.
