Role purpose and details Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care. 12 Hour Nights with Weekend & Holiday commitment as required by department. Sign on bonus eligible. Benefit eligible. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and their families on how to manage illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs. Identifies and adheres to safety-sensitive position requirements; maintains alertness and safe practice at all times. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s - Nursing Experience: No Experience required Licenses & Certifications: RN Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree - Nursing Experience: Experience in ICU or ED preferred Additional Details BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position.
