Position Summary:

• DFS is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join the newly established Platform Services Team.
• The selected consultant will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
• The consultant will support GKE cluster operations, Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning, observability solutions, and Salesforce deployment pipelines while ensuring platform reliability and scalability.
• The role requires expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub, Splunk, SonarQube, GearSet, CI/CD automation, and DevOps practices, while providing technical leadership and mentoring mid-level engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
• Author, review, and maintain Terraform code for GCP infrastructure provisioning.
• Support GKE cluster build-out, workload onboarding, and cluster operations.
• Own assigned areas of the observability stack including Splunk integration, monitoring, and alerting.
• Manage build artifact storage and versioning using GCP Artifact Registry.
• Maintain and improve existing Salesforce/GearSet deployment pipelines.
• Maintain SonarQube and GitHub integration for static and dynamic code analysis.
• Manage GCP resources including Compute Engine, networking, IAM, and Secret Manager.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and sprint delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to mid-level Platform Engineers.
• Contribute to technical documentation and participate in on-call rotation.

Required Skills:

• 84 months of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure, including designing and operating production CI/CD pipelines.
• 60 months of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, Secret Manager, VPC Networking, and IAM.
• 60 months of experience with Terraform, including module development, remote state management, and infrastructure migration.
• 60 months of experience with GitHub and Git workflows, including branching strategies, pull requests, and webhook integrations.
• 48 months of experience with static and dynamic code analysis using SonarQube (SAST) and OWASP ZAP or equivalent (DAST) within CI/CD pipelines.
• 48 months of experience with Splunk for observability, including log forwarding, pipeline integration, and dashboards.
• 24 months of experience maintaining Salesforce deployment pipelines using GearSet or equivalent.
• 24 months of experience providing technical mentorship to mid-level engineers
