Phlebotomist

Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Basic Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License Preferred Qualifications Minimum of one month of experience as a phlebotomist Current or prior experience with Labcorp Additional Job Standards In lieu of a state license, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at hire may meet the requirement Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Flexibility to work overtime as needed Able to attend a 2‑week training in California Pay $21.00 - $33.00.
