Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery (Labor and Delivery Department) is needed in Irving, Texas. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care on a dedicated labor and delivery unit, adhering to hospital protocols and ensuring patient safety during childbirth. The position offers an opportunity to work in a busy, high-acuity setting with a focus on maternal and neonatal health.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, typically 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license; 0+ years of experience; certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Fetal Monitoring (FM).
• Preferred Qualifications: RNC (Registered Nurse Certified) and experience with Meditech electronic documentation system are preferred.
• Special Skills/Experience: Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in a labor and delivery setting and meet all required certifications.
• Additional Information: Unit has 12 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1. Staffing includes one unit technician per shift and one secretary on day shift. No floating requirements specified; attendance policies apply. Dress code requires hospital-provided scrubs, with policies on hair, nails, tattoos, and piercings to ensure professionalism and patient safety.
